Learn how you can manage your Menus by pausing/hiding the entire menus, categories, or specific items for over a specific time period.

How to pause and resume a menu?

Let’s say, you want to remove the Coupons and Specials menu.

 

Follow the steps:

1. Go to Coupons and Specials

2. Click on Edit


Go to the Add/Edit Special properties window on the right side of your computer screen.

3. Un-check the Show the Menu box

4. Save it

 

  • To resume the Menu,  perform the steps 1 and 2 and check-in the Show this Menu box and hit Save 

 

Note: By taking down a menu, all the menu categories and items will automatically disappear from the Order online menu.



How to pause and resume a category?

Let's say you created the Coupons and Specials menu for the promotion campaign and now that it has ended, you want to take it offline. 


Follow the steps:

1. Go to Coupons and Specials

2. Click on Edit Category


Go to the Coupons and Special's Category properties window that appears on the right side of your computer screen.

3. Un-check the Show the Menu box

4. Hit Save

 

  • To resume the category, repeat steps 1 and 2 then check-in the Show category in menu box and Save it.


Note: Taking down a menu category, all the items in it will automatically disapear from the order online menu.

 


How to pause and resume an item?

Let’s say you are out of BBQ Chicken Pizza item so regardless of where the BBQ chicken pizza is visible or not in your menu. Now, you want to disable it everywhere. You can pick any BBQ Chicken Pizza item from any menu.

 

Here, for example, let’s go to the BBQ Chicken Pizza item in Specialty Pizza under the default Menu.

 

  • Go to Pause/Resume drop-down button

 

Now you have three options to pause your item:

  • Pause all BBQ Chicken Pizza
  • Pause BBQ Chicken Pizza with size “Size” in Specialty Pizzas
  • Pause all sizes of BBQ Chicken Pizza in Specialty Pizzas


These options let you further decide the time period you want the item paused.

Go to the Pause BBQ Chicken Pizza Box that appears on the right side of your computer screen.

 

Now, consider the above options:

  • Until tomorrow morning: This option pauses the item until the next morning at 6:00 AM after which, the system will automatically resume the item at that time.
  • Until next week: This option pauses the item for a week.
  • Limited for: Here, you can customize the time period you want to pause the item.
  • Unlimited. Please resume this item manually: With this option enabled, you can keep the item offline as long as you want until you manually turn it back on.


Let's go through all three pausing options and understand what they mean: 


a) Pause all BBQ Chicken Pizza: By doing this, you’re telling the system to disable this item everywhere in the menu, so it’s not visible to the customer anywhere.

 

  • To resume the item, hit the Pause/Resume button > Resume all BBQ chicken Pizza



b) Pause BBQ Chicken Pizza with size “Size” in Specialty Pizzas: Choose a specific size to disable its visibility in a particular category.

 

Follow the steps:

1. Click on a size (here, let’s choose Medium 14)


2. Go to Pause/Resume button

3. Click Pause BBQ Chicken Pizza with size Medium 14 in Specialty Pizzas


4. Edit the time.

5. Save it.


  • To resume the size, click Pause/Resume button > Resume BBQ Chicken Pizza with size Medium 14” in Specialty Pizzas



c) Pause all sizes of BBQ Chicken Pizza in Specialty PizzasPause all the sizes provided in the same item.

By clicking on this option, the following alert pop-up appears to reconfirm your decision.



Hit OK to continue.

 

  • To resume all the sizes, hit Pause/Resume button > Resume all sizes of BBQ Chicken Pizza in Specialty Pizzas
